ORRVILLA MANOR I
1) Must be 62 years of age or older, or handicapped/disabled under the
HUD guidelines. (We will ask for a copy of your birth certificate and
social security card to verify eligibility)
2) Income not to exceed $22,950 per year for single occupant
$26,200 per year for couple
After application is completely filled out, signed and dated, and received in our office, it will be processed for approval according to the above eligibility requirements. A letter will be sent to the applicant and, if eligible, their name will be placed on the waiting list according to the date we received the application. There is an approximate 1 ½ to 2-year wait. We do go through a verification and screening procedure when the name comes to the top of the list. The verification procedure is explained in the HUD Fact Sheet. The screening procedure includes a criminal background check. OrrVilla Retirement Community is a non-smoking property.
Rent is 30 percent of total income, minus an allowance for medical expenses. Utilities are included with the rent. Tenant is responsible for their own washer/dryer (utility room accommodates a stackable unit). There is a $5 extra utility charge for the washer/dryer, $6 extra utility charge for a freezer per month. There is a coin-operated laundry facility at the community center. Tenant is responsible for own air conditioner unit, and there is a $14 per month extra utility charge for the air conditioner during the summer months (May through September).
