Executive Director — Myron Weaver

“It’s important to provide senior adults with a strong set of services and amenities,” said Weaver.  “And the caring staff at OrrVilla enjoys a great reputation as a group that works very well together toward a common goal of creating a great experience for residents.”  —Myron Weaver   

Myron brings broad leadership and administrative experience in both non-profit and for-profit organizations. He comes to OrrVilla from Berlin Mennonite Church, where he was lead Pastor, located in Berlin, Ohio. He previously served as Lead Pastor at Maple Grove Mennonite Church in Hartville, Ohio. Prior to entering the ministry, Myron was engaged in business as an owner of Weaver Construction, Inc.

GLENDA STROUD – Resident Services Director


 “I enjoy working with senior adults because they have volumes of experience and wisdom to share. It is challenging to meet their physical and emotional needs while protecting their sense of independence and individuality. I believe that the staff here at Maple Terrace work hard to provide “person centered” care. Residents are evaluated on admission to determine specific functional care needs but are monitored to determine preferences and what works best for them as an individual.” — Glenda Stroud
Stroud has been our Resident Services Director at Maple Terrace since September 2004. She began working at Maple Terrace in 1998 to 2000 as the Resident Services Manager, she left to pursue a career in counseling but discovered she missed being a nurse. Glenda is a registered nurse. Receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Olivet Nazarene University in 1987. She, also, has a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She has worked as a nurse caring for older adults for the past 25 years. She attends church at Orrville Harvest Hills Church of the Nazarene where she teaches the teen Sunday School class, sing on the praise team, and coach teen bible quizzing.

JUDY GABLE – Activities Director


“I enjoy working with seniors very much, at some point in life, we will all be there, and it has given me a positive outlook on growing older, many of our residents amaze me at how positive they are about life, how strong their faith is  and their desire to keep learning new things is an inspiration to me. ” — Judy Gable

Judy began as Activities Coordinator in 1998.  She recently took the position as Activities Director. She loves being outside, camping, bicycling and hiking with her husband, Ken. They are empty nesters now that their three children have grown up and moved away. So, they do a lot of traveling to National Parks.   Judy is involved with bible studies and women’s ministries at Grace Church in Wooster.

ANDREA BALIZET – Activities Coordinator

She started working for OrrVilla in April 2016. She has an Associate Degree in Human and Social Services from Stark State College. And, has over ten years of experience working with older adults in Social Services and Activities. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenagers and extended family and friends. Her hobbies are: playing tennis, hiking, decorating, reading and traveling.

KAREN GERBER – Administrative Assistant

Karen is currently living in Orrville with her husband Ken. She has two grown children, son Jason and wife Beth, and daughter, Jacinta and her husband, Eric. She has four beautiful granddaughters. She enjoys gardening playing piano and spending time with friends and family. She worked at Brenn-Field Nursing Center as Admissions Coordinator and Business Office Assistant.


CAROL SHEMENSKI - Marketing and Sales Manager

 I strongly feel that the experienced staff at OrrVilla brings the best out of our residents! I know as my father in law is a past resident. After being reluctant at first to leave our home to move to OrrVilla he said,  “Why didn’t we do this sooner”?

Carol has worked in senior living communities since 1992.  She began her career in Providence, Rhode Island where she worked for a continuum of care assisting families and professionals by educating them on Independent through skilled care including memory care. Moving to Orrville in 2004 she continued her work in senior living and is happy to now be a part of the OrrVilla team. Carol and her husband Jim live in Orrville and have two sons and 3 grandchildren. Family time is the most important part of her life. They enjoy family time at their lake home, boating, and family get togethers. In her spare time she loves to read, preferring history and biographies. 


KRISTIN AND JOHN LORSON - Marketing Support Team

John and Kristin Lorson began working for OrrVilla in the spring of 2013 as our first Marketing Team. Together, they each collaborate and add individualized training and talent when it comes to promoting this wonderful retirement community. Kristin has a BA in Communications from the University of Akron, with a minor in Advertising. She, also has training in Graphic Design, and printing and newspaper advertising experience. John Lorson has a BS from the University of Akron, and although his formal education was in the sciences, John has years or writing and marketing experience from over 20 years of working in the field of higher education, to writing his own weekly humor column for more than 20 years in the Wooster Daily Record. Kristin and John have three children.

Randy Murray began as Chaplain for all of OrrVilla in 2015. He has been to College and seminary-level courses, church camping and pastoral ministry. He enjoys “Back-to-Eden” gardening and is fascinated by things that fly!


Julie Amstutz – Evergreen Place Resident Manager

Julie is our new Office Manager for Evergreen Place Manor I.  Julie and husband of almost 39 years, Roger, live in a log cabin in the woods  between Mt. Eaton, Kidron & Dalton.
They share a daughter, Megan. 
Megan is married to Trey Fair; they have a daughter, Joy.

Julie enjoys puzzles, Wheel of Fortune, gardening, riding bicycles, motorcycles with Roger, and swimming in their backyard pool with granddaughter and nieces/nephews of all ages! 

  Julie says of her new job, “I continually rely on God’s unending grace and wisdom.  Alice left big shoes to fill and will be missed by all. I am truly honored to have been chosen to take her place and join this fabulous team at Evergreen Place and OrrVilla."   Her mantra hangs in her office to remind her “It is well with my soul.”   Welcome Julie!


JAN CROYLE – Accountant

Jan began working as our Accountant on June 16th, 2016.  She has 30+ years Accounting experience, most recently Operations Manager at Advanced Insurance Designs, Inc., Norton, Ohio. She enjoys children, music, swimming, gardening, traveling, and scrapbooking.


MEGAN HOCHSTETLER – Activities Coordinator

“I have always had an interest in interacting with seniors, even from a young age. I have discovered seniors have a lot of wisdom and wonderful stories to share the more you get to know them. Now that I am working at a retirement community, I enjoy creating fun and interesting activities for seniors. My hope is the activities are helping them enjoy this stage of their life.” — Megan Hochstetler

Megan Hochstetler has been the Activity Coordinator for the Locust Court and Evergreen Place, independent living since 2013. She has a degree in social work and previously worked in the area of mental health for 8 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, and when she’s not chasing her toddler around, she spends time, trying new recipes and cooking.


SANDY HARTMANN – Grounds/Maintenance

Sandy Hartmann has been our Groundskeeper since May 2007.  Sandy has 15 years of landscaping experience. She is a member of ONLA. She continues her education in this field by attending workshops, seminars and trade shows when they are available. Her interests include: biking, outdoor activities, reading, spending lots of time with my dog, Max.
