Mike Leiter – Executive Director
Mike Leiter just celebrated his one year anniversary as Executive Director for OrrVilla. He has worked in retirement communities for over 20 years starting in western Ohio. He is a Certified Aging Services Professional and a Master’s in Business Administration. He enjoys following baseball and the Baltimore Orioles. He once met Brooks Robinson, a famous Oriole third baseman, and received his autograph. He also enjoys playing some golf and tennis.

Glenda Stroud – Resident Services Director
Glenda Stroud has been our Resident Services Director at Maple Terrace since September 2004. She began working at Maple Terrace in 1998 as an aide. In 2000, she left to pursue a career in counseling but discovered she missed being a nurse. Glenda is a registered nurse. Receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Olivet Nazarene University in 1987. She, also, has a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Ashland Theological Seminary. She has worked as a nurse caring for older adults for the past 25 years.
She attends church at Orrville Harvest Hills Church of the Nazarene where she teaches the teen Sunday School class, sing on the praise team, and coach teen bible quizzing.
"I enjoy working with senior adults because they have volumes of experience and wisdom to share. It is challenging to meet their physical and emotional needs while protecting their sense of independence and individuality. I believe that the staff here at Maple Terrace work hard to provide “person centered” care. Residents are evaluated on admission to determine specific functional care needs but are monitored to determine preferences and what works best for them as an individual." — Glenda Stroud
Judy Gable – Activities Director
Judy began as Activities Coordinator in 1998. She recently took the position as Activities Director. She loves being outside, camping, bicycling and hiking with her husband, Ken. They are empty nesters now that their three children have grown up and moved away. So, they do a lot of traveling to National Parks. Judy is involved with bible studies and women’s ministries at Grace Church in Wooster.

Andrea Balizet – Activities Coordinator
She started working for OrrVilla in April 2016. She has an Associate Degree in Human and Social Services from Stark State College. And, has over ten years of experience working with older adults in Social Services and Activities. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two teenagers and extended family and friends. Her hobbies are: playing tennis, hiking, decorating, reading and traveling.
"I absolutely love working with Seniors and working here at OrrVilla. Working with older adults is so fulfilling because they are always very grateful for the things you do for them. It is nice to see their smiling faces when they are enjoying an activity and I love just sitting and talking with them when I can. OrrVilla is clearly set apart from all other experiences I’ve had. The staff here are all very positive and kind. They genuinely care about the residents and the quality of care and activity programs are amazing compared to what I have seen. Sherry Miller – Administrative Assistant
Sherry Miller began working for OrrVilla on May 30, 2006, as Administrative Assistant. She is the smiling face that welcomes you at the front door of Maple Terrace. Sherry not only knows all the residents by name, but she knows their families, too. Sherry enjoys reading, quilting, time with family and learning new things.

Kristin and John Lorson – Marketing Team
John and Kristin Lorson began working for OrrVilla in the spring of 2013 as our first Marketing Team. Together, they each collaborate and add individualized training and talent when it comes to promoting this wonderful retirement community. Kristin has a BA in Communications from the University of Akron, with a minor in Advertising. She, also has training in Graphic Design, and printing and newspaper advertising experience. John Lorson has a BS from the University of Akron, and although his formal education was in the sciences, John has years or writing and marketing experience from over 20 years of working in the field of higher education, to writing his own weekly humor column for more than 20 years in the Wooster Daily Record. On weekends you may find John and Kristin touring the countryside on their tandem together. Together logging thousands of miles over Ohio in 28 years of marriage. John is an avid bicyclist and photographer. He has logged hundreds of miles commuting back and forth between Orrville and his job in Millersburg, at The Holmes County Water and Soil Conservation District office, where he works full time as a Soil Technician.
Kristin has her own art business, KristinArt Personality Portraits, that she began 26 years ago. She does commissioned art for customers from all over the country as well as the globe. Kristin and John have three children.

Randy Murray – Chaplain
Randy Murray began as Chaplain for all of OrrVilla in 2015. He has been to College and seminary-level courses, church camping and pastoral ministry. He enjoys “Back-to-Eden” gardening and is fascinated by things that fly!

Alice K. Knobloch – Evergreen Place Resident Manager
Alice has been the Evergreen Place Resident Manager since January 1990. She has taken the Certified Occupancy Specialist Training program from the National Center for Housing Management and has kept up to date on the HUD handbook changes throughout the years. Alice and her husband, Scott, have been married for 33 years, and have 2 sons, Cody and Shane, 1 daughter-in-law, Sarah, and 2 precious grandchildren, Colt & Carson. They have a hunting cabin in West Virginia, and enjoy spending weekends there. She, also, enjoys quilting and has made both grandchildren a couple baby quilts, along with several that she made for home and enjoys wrapping up in them with a good book. She loves the outdoors and vacationing out west. In addition to all of her hobbies, she has been a Sunday school teacher for over 30 years and loves helping the little ones learn the songs and stories of the Bible.

Jan Croyle – Accountant
Jan began working as our Accountant on June 16th, 2016. She has 30+ years Accounting experience, most recently Operations Manager at Advanced Insurance Designs, Inc., Norton, Ohio. She enjoys children, music, swimming, gardening, traveling, and scrapbooking.

Megan Hochstetler – Activity Coordinator
Megan Hochstetler has been the Activity Coordinator for the Locust Court and Evergreen Place, independent living since 2013. She has a degree in social work and previously worked in the area of mental health for 8 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, and when she's not chasing her toddler around, she spends time, trying new recipes and cooking.
"I have always had an interest in interacting with seniors, even from a young age. I have discovered seniors have a lot of wisdom and wonderful stories to share the more you get to know them. Now that I am working at a retirement community, I enjoy creating fun and interesting activities for seniors. Sandy Hartmann – Groundskeeper/Interior Designer
Sandy Hartmann has been our Groundskeeper since May 2007. Sandy has 15 years of landscaping experience. She is a member of ONLA. She continues her education in this field by attending workshops, seminars and trade shows when they are available. Her interests include: biking, outdoor activities, reading, spending lots of time with my dog, Max.

Jesse Goudy – Maintenance Supervisor
Jesse began as Maintenance Supervisor on July 30th, 2001. He first began remodeling houses in 1970 with his dad growing up on the family farm. This taught him about hard work and respect for starting and completing tasks no matter how big or small. As a young man he was always fascinated with the stories and lessons taught by the many older neighbors and his grandfather who lived on his family farm the last years of their lives.
"One of my favorite things here at OrrVilla is to listen to the residents tell their stories and watch them light up as the recall precious memories. My goal here is to brighten a residents day so when I leave their home they were glad I stopped by. I believe our great staff here have similar goals, they treat people like family, maybe even a little better." — Jesse Goudy
